Plinky wants to know what my favorite summertime sound is. Most people say bugs or air conditioners, but no one seems to say trains except me.
The trains in the distance, laying on their horns as they cross in different directions. There are lots of dangerous train crossings in my area. I’m surprised more people haven’t had accidents relating to them. I’m sure if this place was any dumber, there would be hundreds of deaths.
There may already be hundreds of train deaths in my town and I don’t even know.
Anyway, I love the sound of the trains as they pass right next to apartment complexes, laying on their horns to warn of their arrival, or maybe just to piss people off.

As bad as it would be for me racially, I would love to go back to the colonel period. Growing up I was always pretty interested in how simple life was back in the day. Too bad I’d probably end up getting caught and sold to slave traders.
